The IQ app comes with advanced mapping and automated features, but it lacks no-go zones. These are only available on iRobot robots. Its intelligent-pathing navigational system gives you superior maneuverability and its high-pile carpet mode is clean well, but it tends to get caught up in rug tassels. Additionally, its iHome speaker allows you to control the robot using voice commands.
In our tests in our tests, the IQ was capable of handling pet hair with ease, removing an impressive amount of debris from floors that were not bare and fair amounts on medium-pile carpet. It was less efficient with shag carpets, where it was unable to reach dirt and dust embedded within the fibers. It was able to navigate the legs of a chair, tiny spaces, and even the base of an IKEA wooden step stool. We did notice that it was a little slower on floors that were not paved but it quickly recovered and performed better than the other robots we tried.
The IQ is a better option for most users than the iRobot Roomba. It has a larger dustbin and lasts longer on charge, and is capable of getting over obstacles. It comes with mopping tools that can clean up sticky messes. On the other side the iRobot is built better and has fewer parts that require replacement or maintenance, incurs lower recurring costs and can even create virtual no-go zones using its companion app. It can even resume the cleaning process from where it left off if it is unable to recharge its battery prior to finishing the job. The iRobot can also be controlled via voice commands, which is a big plus for many users.
Eufy 11S
The RoboVac 11S eufy robot vacuum isn't among the most advanced models, but it provides excellent cleaning power for an affordable price. It's designed for those who don't need a complicated mapping system or app to control the device. This robot can run for up to an hour and includes an remote, cleaning tool, AC power adapter, charging base, and additional filters.
